Investigation of vegetative growth, yield and fruit quality characteristics of 'Hafif Çukurgöbek' loquat cultivar grafted on different quince rootstocks

‘Hafif Çukurgöbek’ loquat budded on three quince rootstock (BA-29, A, and C) were evaluated in 2018 2019 Hatay, Turkey. Fruit ripening was the earliest BA-29 both years. The highest fruit weight obtained from Quince-C followed by rootstock, Quince-A rootstock. yielded significantly higher values terms of seed number, weight, flesh/seed ratio. rootstocks had similar total soluble solids, while lowest value. Differences between titratable acidity pH not found to be statistically significant. gave annual shoot length, scion diameter compared rootstocks. differences vegetative parameters significant at 1% level. Our preliminary data indicate that dwarfing can used intensive plantings loquat. In this study, Quince C performed better than Quince-A. Considering yield quality based solid, seems best choice.
